Overview

At the 2025 Schützenfest of the St. Sebastianus Jungschützenverein Rüthen, the new Majesties were crowned: Leon Buchholz shot the last piece of the wooden eagle off the pole during the King Bird Shooting and became Shooting King 2025/2026, with Queen Sarah Farke at his side. The three days of festivities followed the classic schedule with Festkommers, Grand Tattoo, festival service, King Bird Shooting, Coronation Ball, and parade.

JSV Schützenfest 2025 — The Coronation of Buchholz/Farke

The 2025 Schützenfest brought a new King and Queen to Rüthen: Leon Buchholz was crowned Shooting King during the King Bird Shooting on Sunday afternoon — he knocked the last wooden remnant of the eagle off the bird pole and was subsequently ceremonially crowned with his Queen Sarah Farke. The three days followed the JSV's proven program schedule with Festkommers and Grand Tattoo on Saturday evening, festival service and King Bird Shooting on Sunday, and parade and King's Parade on Monday. Live music in the festival tent ensured a lively atmosphere; the reigning King and Queen will represent the fraternity until the next King Bird Shooting in 2026.
