Overview

The Rostock Light Week 2025 took place from November 3rd to 8th under the motto »Cosmic Light«, inviting visitors on a luminous journey through the universe. Light installations, walking acts, fire and LED shows, as well as a grand laser show illuminated the city center.

The 2025 edition of the Rostock Light Week was themed »Cosmic Light« and transformed the city center into a cosmic world of light from November 3rd to 8th. From Steintor and Neuer Markt to Kröpeliner Tor, light installations and projections shone, daily from approximately 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Along Kröpeliner Straße, sparkling walking acts in glittering costumes paraded through the city, and colorful planets glowed from the windows of the Stadtwerke building. The highlight was the grand laser show on Saturday at Universitätsplatz. As part of the Light Week, Stadtwerke Rostock presented €2,500 to the association »Bunt statt Braun e.V.« to promote democracy and diversity.
