Overview

The 2024/25 Carnival season in Rommerskirchen followed the classic Rhenish choreography: Altweiber kickoff on Thursday, Costume Ball on Saturday, climax on Carnival Sunday with the parade "D'r Zoch kütt" and the subsequent Jeckenparty at the festival grounds. Organizer Bauverein Rommerskirchen and local carnival clubs consolidated the format of the Lower Rhenish Carnival tradition.

The 2024/25 season continued Rommerskirchen's Carnival tradition. The Bauverein, as the main organizer, along with local carnival clubs, arranged the three central dates. Rhenish carnival culture — characterized by "Alaaf," traditional floats, carnival medals, and a strong penchant for costumes — combines in Rommerskirchen with the Lower Rhenish distinctiveness of the municipality on the edge of the classic carnival heartland. The program structure for 2025/26 was developed based on the experience of previous years.
