Overview
The 2025 Roman Market, as is traditional, took place in early May on the Saalburg fort grounds. Ancient craftspeople, Roman soldiers of the Vindeliker Cohort, and hourly guided tours brought the world of the Roman province of Upper Germania closer to visitors.
In 2025, the Roman Market followed its proven concept: a two-day action market with ancient craft demonstrations, a Roman camp, reenactment by the 4th Vindeliker Cohort, and a program for families. Hourly fort tours were included in the admission as always.
Programme
Two-day program from 10 AM to 5 PM with craftspeople, traders, and Vindeliker reenactment. Hourly tours for adults and children. Roman cuisine at the Taberna.
