Overview
The 2025 carnival season in Rösrath was traditionally celebrated with a town hall storming, carnival sessions, and three parades. The Rose Monday parade on March 3, 2025, saw over 1,000 participants along the route through Rösrath-Mitte; the Hoffnungsthal parade also celebrated a notable anniversary edition – half a century of continuous carnival in the district.
In 2025, the 50th anniversary of the Hoffnungsthal carnival parade and the strong participation of associations were the focus of the season. Thousands of cries of 'Kamelle' and 'Strüßjer' accompanied the Rose Monday parade through the town centre. The committee emphasised the volunteer effort of the eight member societies in organising the season and the role of the children's triumvirate as a cross-generational element of Rösrath's traditions.
