Overview

The 2025 edition once again attracted around 25,000 metal fans to Ballenstedt. Four days of full throttle on two stages, with main acts from hard rock, power metal, and death metal, as well as numerous German underground stars. The festival was sold out months in advance, as usual.

Rockharz 2025 confirmed the festival's status as one of the three most important metal pilgrimage sites in Germany. A classic mix of summer weather with sun and showers, long nights by the campfire, and a level of audience loyalty that is second to none. The atmosphere at Ballenstedt Airfield remained what regulars appreciate: familiar, authentic, without show business airs.
