Overview

The 34th edition of the Rock Hard Festival 2025 once again brought around 7,000 metalheads to the Gelsenkirchen Amphitheater. With a hand-picked program of traditional Heavy Metal, Doom, Melodic Death, and progressive Metal, the festival confirmed its reputation as a Pentecost pilgrimage site for the European metal scene.

As every year at Pentecost, the Amphitheater at Nordsternpark transformed into the pilgrimage site for German and European metalheads. The Rock Hard Festival 2025 remained true to its curated program philosophy: not a mainstream festival, but a consistent selection focusing on melodic, classic, and progressive Heavy Metal. Camping, festival atmosphere, one stage — the proven formula of Rock Hard Magazine delivered once again.
