Overview

The 2025 Sylt Ringreiter season again ran between late May and late August and included seven tournaments in the eastern villages. Hundreds of riders, traditional festive parades, and thousands of spectators made the season once again a highlight of the island summer.

The 2025 Ringreiter season continued the centuries-old tradition: seven tournaments between May and August brought together the eight Sylt Ringreiter clubs for public competitions on the village meadows of Keitum, Morsum, and Archsum. As in previous years, the tournaments were opened with festive parades in Sylt traditional costume, followed by the competitions and festive evening programs in the village squares. The season finale, the Amtsringreiten in Morsum, brought all clubs together for a joint contest — a highlight of Frisian cultural life on the island.
