Overview

In 2025, the Residenztage Bayreuth & Sanspareil once again invited visitors to a cultural weekend celebrating Wilhelmine's margravial heritage. Concerts, expert-led tours, and family activities brought the UNESCO World Heritage Margravial Opera House and Sanspareil to life.

The Residenztage Bayreuth & Sanspareil took place in 2025, as usual, over a May weekend. The event was organised by the Bavarian Palace Department in cooperation with the Bayreuth Tourist Information Centre.

With a festive opening concert in the Margravial Opera House, guided tours of the Opera House, New Palace, and Sanspareil, as well as family activities, the Residenztage once again confirmed their status as a major castle and classical music festival in Upper Franconia — a prelude to the 20th anniversary in 2026.
