Overview
In 2025, Rerik also celebrated its Festival of Lights on the Haff at the beginning of September. Floating candles on the Salzhaff, a boat parade, a bonfire, shanty songs, and fireworks made the maritime season finale an atmospheric autumn highlight.
The 2025 edition followed the established format: a "pre-lighting" on Friday evening and the main program on Saturday on the Haff promenade.
As in previous years, countless floating candles illuminated the Salzhaff, sailboats passed by in a festive parade, and the Reriker Heulbojen sang their shanties. The event concluded with fireworks. The festival confirmed its reputation as an atmospheric maritime season finale.
