Overview

The 9th RENNSTEIGRIDE 2025 took place again in Schmiedefeld am Rennsteig. Hundreds of mountain bikers competed in the six distances Supermarathon, Marathon, Half Marathon, E-Bike, BasicRIDE, and JuniorRIDE. The three circular courses through the Thuringian Forest offered challenging climbs and rapid descents — as always organized by Rennsteiglauf Sportmanagement und Touristik GmbH.

9th RENNSTEIGRIDE 2025 — Mountain Biking in the Thuringian Forest

As in previous years, the 9th edition of the RENNSTEIGRIDE brought mountain bike fans from all over Germany to the Thuringian Forest. Start and finish in Schmiedefeld am Rennsteig, six distances from Supermarathon to JuniorRIDE, and three circular courses with different characters defined the event.

Rennsteiglauf Sportmanagement und Touristik GmbH once again organized route marking, catering, medical services, and finish line support — a well-rehearsed structure that ensured the event ran smoothly despite high participant numbers.
