Overview

The 209th Remscheider Schützen- und Heimatfest with Sommerkirmes 2025 took place from July 4th to 8th at the Schützenplatz am Stadtpark. Five days of tradition, parade, king shooting, and a grand fireworks display attracted tens of thousands of visitors from the Bergisches Land.

As every year, the 2025 Remscheider Schützenfest was marked by the club tradition dating back to 1816. Großer Zapfenstreich, a parade through the city centre, king shooting, and Sommerkirmes funfair characterised the five-day programme. The showmen offered classic amusement rides and food stalls, while live bands and DJs provided entertainment in the festival tent.

Programme

The 2025 programme followed the classic Schützenfest schedule: citizen shooting and fireworks for the opening, Großer Zapfenstreich on Saturday, parade and prince shooting on Sunday, king shooting on Monday, and a family day to conclude.
