Overview

The 2025 edition continued the tradition of the Vestian CSD, which has been growing since 2019. Hundreds of participants demonstrated around the Stadtwall in Recklinghausen for the visibility and equality of the LGBTQIA+ community in the Vest. A stage program, information booths, and a closing rally at Europaplatz formed the framework. VCSD e.V. once again confirmed the anchoring of Pride in the northeastern Ruhr area.

The 2025 edition followed the established format: gathering at Europaplatz, demonstration procession around the Stadtwall, closing rally with stage program. Information booths of queer and solidarity associations from the Vest lined the square.

Vestischer CSD e.V. once again used the event to strengthen LGBTQIA+ visibility in the traditionally conservative Vest Recklinghausen. With rainbow flags, speeches, and the demonstration along the historic city wall, it was once again a statement for diversity and equality in the northeastern Ruhr area.
