Ten Years of RAW in Worpswede
Founded in Worpswede in 2016, the RAW Photo Festival has rapidly developed into one of the most renowned photo art festivals in Northern Germany. The festival combines the artistic tradition of the Worpswede artists' village with the language of modern photography, creating exhibitions, talks, and encounters that regularly draw photography enthusiasts from all over Germany to the town. The 10th anniversary in 2026 is a significant moment for the festival and its audience.
'Back to the Future' — Three Venues, Three Concepts
The 2026 festival will be spread across three carefully selected venues. The Galerie Altes Rathaus will host the retrospective exhibition 'Lieblingsstücke' — a curated show of the most significant works from ten years of RAW history. The Marcusheide will present 'Zeichen des Wandels' as an open-air exhibition on the theme of climate change. At the Philine-Vogeler-Haus, 'Fotokunst zum Blättern' will be on display in cooperation with the PhotoBookMuseum Cologne, featuring photobooks as an artistic medium.
Artist Talks and Guided Tours
Accompanying the exhibitions, there will be artist talks with the invited photographers and guided tours through the three venues. The festival thus creates space for direct exchange between artists and the public.

From October 3rd to November 1st, 2026, the anniversary edition will be spread across three venues. Each exhibition focuses on a specific theme, complementing the overall programme.
'Back to the Future'
The motto combines a look back at ten years of RAW with a look at future societal and ecological issues.
