Overview

The 2025 edition of the Rainbow Festival at Fühlinger See confirmed the event's rise to become NRW's largest LGBTQ+ open-air festival. As in previous years, the Sunshine Stage featured pop and schlager acts, while the Aqua Stage presented electronic music in the summer sun. Drag stars hosted between sets, with up to 30,000 guests celebrating diversity, visibility, and the CSD weekend as part of ColognePride.

The 2025 edition traditionally took place on the last Saturday in June as part of the ColognePride week. The concept remained well-proven: Sunshine Stage for pop and schlager, Aqua Stage for EDM and house.

With pumping hits, sing-along classics, and drag show interludes, the approximately 30,000 guests celebrated on the Regatta Island of Fühlinger See. The festival once again positioned itself as a celebratory extension of the politically charged CSD demonstration, bringing together both the mainstream crowd and the queer community in a shared experience.
