The 20th edition of the Ragnarök Festival took place in April 2025 at the Stadthalle Lichtenfels. Around 30 bands from the Black, Pagan, Viking, and Folk Metal genres performed for several thousand fans from across Europe.
In 2025, the Ragnarök Festival once again transformed the Stadthalle Lichtenfels into a pilgrimage site for the European metal scene. Around 30 bands performed over three days on two stages, with the spectrum ranging from Black and Death Metal to Pagan and Viking Metal and Folk Metal. As a purely indoor festival, the event offered weather-independent conditions and an intense club atmosphere, solidifying its reputation as a fixed annual pilgrimage for thousands of fans.
