Overview

The 2025 Querbeet experience days once again opened the Vier- und Marschlande for a weekend of agricultural discovery. Farms, farm gardens, and the Rieck Haus showcased how Hamburg's green pantry works for two days — with farm tours, market stalls, and regional cuisine between Curslack and Kirchwerder.

2025 Review

The 2025 experience days focused on sustainable agriculture. Dozens of farms in Curslack, Altengamme, Neuengamme, and Kirchwerder offered tours through greenhouses, fruit orchards, and stables. At Rieck Haus, the Bergedorf Museum Landscape organized workshops and garden talks; regional cuisine was central to the event — Marschland strawberries, fruit wines, and honey dominated the market stalls.

The districts of Curslack and Kirchwerder in the Bergedorf district are considered the heart of Hamburg's vegetable and flower cultivation — with almost 800 family businesses spread over an area of about 75 square kilometers.
