The Psychodynamic Days Langeoog have become a fixed date in the German-speaking psychotherapy calendar over the past years. Theme 2026 – Trust, Truth, Deception
Under the motto 'Questions of Trust – Truth and Deception in Psychotherapy,' the tenth anniversary edition addresses a central area of tension in therapeutic work. How does trust arise in a relationship where one person opens up without knowing exactly what happens to what has been opened? What role do self-deception, blind spots, and implicit truths play? How can therapists offer reliability in times of societal uncertainty – without oversimplifying?
Format and Structure
The program is divided into keynote speeches, topic-specific forums, a panel discussion, and 27 seminars. The latter allow for in-depth work in small groups on clinical, methodological, and conceptual issues. The keynote speeches and panel discussion are video-recorded; participants receive access to the recordings, which is particularly relevant for those who cannot attend parallel program items.
Organizers
The organizer is the Albertinen Academy from Hamburg, a central institution for psychodynamic continuing education in northern Germany. Through the academy's tradition, the congress connects with a broad network of clinicians, researchers, and educators. Registration is via the academy and the Med-Congress platform; places are usually booked quickly.
