The 22nd Provinziale 2025 took place in October 2025 at Haus Schwärzetal Eberswalde. Four competitions (short/feature doc, animation, short film) plus Heimatfenster shaped the program. As every year, film discussions and music evenings complemented the film program. Organizer: Filmfest Eberswalde e.V. Eberswalde once again positioned itself as a festival city in Barnim.

The 22nd Provinziale 2025 was one of the established editions of the Eberswalde Film Festival. In October 2025, the festival screened a curated selection of films from all over Europe and beyond, divided into the four traditional competition categories.

The special program "Heimatfenster" also focused on specific themes in 2025 that the festival regularly explores — from East German provinces to nature-oriented landscapes to international stories of country and city. An international jury awarded the prizes; film discussions, music, and concerts framed the film blocks.
