Overview
Pott Fest at Zeche Carl will be held as its own format for the first time in 2026. 2025 was the preparation year with concept development, initiative networking (EssenDIESE), and smaller test formats within Zeche Carl's programme, which were intended to feed into the later Pott Fest concept. There was no dedicated Pott Fest edition in 2025 — the official premiere is in 2026.
2025 was the conception year for Pott Fest: organizing teams from Zeche Carl and the initiative EssenDIESE developed the format, identified potential DJ partners, and coordinated the socio-cultural Sunday programme with local stakeholders. Smaller test formats (workshops, DJ nights) were part of Zeche Carl's regular programme but served as a trial run for the large, multi-day format in 2026. The official first edition as a standalone Pott Fest will follow in 2026.
