Pott Fest at Zeche Carl

The Pott Fest was held for the first time on August 30 and 31, 2025. It was organized by the Essen-based collective essendiese, led by Robin and Leon, following the cancellation of the previously planned 'Pott Parade' and a subsequent reimagining of the event format.

Saturday was all about electronic music: around 20 DJs from across the Ruhr region performed house and techno sets on three stages, with programming curated by various local institutions. The day also featured graffiti workshops, an art exhibition, and a tattoo area.

Sunday took on a different tone as a Day of Encounter, focusing on interactive activities, games for children, and local non-profit organizations. Food trucks served the crowd on both days, and admission was free throughout the festival.
