In winter 2025, the previous Christmas market “Blauer Lichterglanz” was renamed “Potsdamer Weihnachtszauber”. With a new operator and an expanded concept, the market took place for the first time under the new name from November 24 to December 28, 2025.
New Start 2025 — From “Blauer Lichterglanz” to “Weihnachtszauber”
Until 2024, the Christmas market on the axis was called “Blauer Lichterglanz” and was organized by a different operator. With a change for winter 2025, the market received a new name, a new operator, and a significantly expanded concept—including a Ferris wheel, a larger ice rink, and expanded stage programming. The premiere under the new name from November 24 to December 28, 2025, proved the concept, which will be seamlessly continued in its second season in 2026.
