Edition 2025 — Poseritz Equestrian Tournament
In 2025, the Poseritz equestrian tournament also took place in early June – the traditional weekend for equestrian and driving sports in the southern part of the island of Rügen, organised by the Poseritz Riding and Driving Club (Reit- und Fahrverein Poseritz e.V.).
A Reliable Date in the Equestrian Calendar
Since 1984, the Poseritz equestrian tournament has been a meeting point for riders from all over Vorpommern every year in early June. In 2025, the tournament followed the established format: show jumping competitions on the main arena, dressage competitions on the secondary arena, a driving competition with the Rügen Island Championship, and the Vorpommern-Rügen district championships across several age groups.
As in previous years, the tournament was both a competition and a village festival: local clubs provided catering, the Dörphus served as a meeting point, and the public could watch for free throughout the weekend. In 2026, the tradition will continue on June 6 and 7.
