Since 2021, POLYCHROM has been bringing contemporary jazz to Osnabrück's central market square. The combination of a prominent city center backdrop, free admission, and a curated musical selection makes the festival an accessible format that appeals to both jazz aficionados and passersby.

Two Stages, Seven Artists

Over eight hours, a total of seven jazz artists perform on two stages. The festival showcases the entire spectrum of current jazz: from traditional modern jazz and electronic fusions to experimental formats. The parallel stages allow for a dense program and a constant shift in musical moods.

Jazz Meets Art

A special feature of POLYCHROM is the close integration of music and visual arts. Kunstraum hase29 and the Bethel theater workshop create live art, body painting, and performances that emerge alongside the music and directly engage the audience. This creates a synesthetic experience where jazz and visual art react to each other.

Musikbüro Osnabrück e.V.

The organizing body is Musikbüro Osnabrück e.V., an association that has been coordinating Osnabrück's music scene, producing events, and creating structures for musicians for years. POLYCHROM is one of the association's most prominent festivals.
