Plattling Nibelungen Festival

The Plattling Nibelungen Festival takes place every two years; therefore, 2024 was the last edition before 2026, with no performances in 2025. On the open-air stage at Magdalenenplatz, the Förderverein Nibelungen-Festspiel Plattling e.V. staged the legendary Nibelungen saga with theatre, music, and dance. With professional stage design and modern lighting and sound technology, as well as an accompanying medieval market with campfires, crafts, and catering, the 2024 edition offered an impressive open-air spectacle and solidified Plattling's reputation as the Nibelungen City in the district of Deggendorf, Bavaria.
