PladeLu-Festival V — Established Charity Routine

In January 2025, the 5th edition of the PladeLu-Festival was held at the Columbiahalle on Columbiadamm in Berlin-Tempelhof. The association PladeLu-Festival e.V. continued its unique charity concept: headliners and newcomer bands from Rock, Metal, and NDH (Neue Deutsche Härte) played without fees, the organizer renounced profit, and all revenue above costs went to non-profit organizations — Kinderhospiz Sonnenhof, Vita Assistenzhunde e.V., and other social projects. Bands performed on the single festival stage on equal footing, complemented by Celtic fire artists during breaks. Politically, the festival clearly positioned itself against discrimination, xenophobia, antisemitism, racism, violence, and hatred — a stance that remains necessary in the rock music scene against far-right appropriation attempts. The 5th edition consolidated the format and paved the way for the 2026 edition with OOMPH! as headliner.
