Festival with a Clear Identity

The Pixxen Festival has carved out its own niche in East Frisia: genre diversity between rock, ska, hip-hop, and acoustic, a distinctly younger atmosphere than the region's classic local festivals, and a clearly recognizable benefit character. The organizer is Pixxen e.V., whose volunteer team has been organizing the festival for years with great effort.

Festival Grounds in Neukamperfehn

The festival grounds are located at Hauptwieke in Neukamperfehn, a district of the municipality of Hesel. The open-air area offers space for several stages, catering, bars, and festival infrastructure. The grounds open at 2:00 PM, and the program runs into the night.

Musical Profile

The line-up changes annually, but the style mix remains constant: rock bands from the region and beyond, ska acts with brass sections, hip-hop and rap, as well as calmer acoustic sets. The format appeals to a broad, but especially young audience. The current 2026 line-up will be communicated by Pixxen e.V. on pixxen.de and on the festival's channels.

Benefit for Herzkinder OstFriesland

The proceeds of the festival go to Herzkinder OstFriesland – a regional initiative to support children with heart defects and their families. Thus, every festival ticket is also a contribution to a concrete social project in the region.
