Overview

The 2025 Piumer Potato Market took place on the third weekend of September in the town center of Borgholzhausen. Over 80 stalls, the longest potato table through the streets, a potato peeling competition, threshing demonstrations, and appearances by costume groups characterized the weekend. The organizer, as every year, was the Verkehrsverein Borgholzhausen e.V.

Potato Market 2025

As in the over 30 previous years, the 2025 Piumer Potato Market brought tens of thousands of visitors from Ostwestfalen-Lippe to Borgholzhausen. The long potato table stretched across the town center, and over 80 stalls featured crafts, food, and association offerings.

The traditional program items — potato peeling competition, threshing demonstrations with flails, Kiepenkerle appearances — were repeated. The Geopark Terra.Vita reported on the festival as an important heritage format of the region on the Teutoburg Forest.
