Güstrow Cathedral was also one of the regular venues for the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in 2025. During the 2025 Festival Summer, several chamber concerts took place under the high late Gothic vault, bringing together an enthusiastic audience from Mecklenburg and all of Northern Germany.

In the 2025 Festival Summer, Güstrow Cathedral once again served as a venue for the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Since 1990, the series has brought together internationally acclaimed ensembles and young prize-winners, conveying classical music in a special atmosphere.

The audience particularly appreciates the combination of architectural grandeur and fine acoustics in Güstrow Cathedral — ideal conditions for string quartets and vocal programs. The Festspiele MV are among the largest classical music festivals in Europe, attracting tens of thousands of visitors annually.
