Overview

The 14th edition of Pfingstrock 2025 once again offered two days of indie and alternative rock in the Herzberg Botanical Garden. Over the years, the festival has established itself as one of the most important dates for German indie music — with targeted promotion of emerging bands and a loyal regular audience.

In 2025, the festival continued its course: approx. 1,000 visitors per day, intimate venue, carefully curated line-up mixing emerging and established acts. The festival's identity — deliberately small size, high quality, no mainstream drift — is consciously maintained by the organizers.

Pfingstrock shows that even rural areas in Eastern Germany can support vibrant festival culture when programmed purposefully and consistently maintained. Herzberg (Elster) benefits from this as a cultural address beyond the region.
