Overview

The Pfingstkerwa Welschenkahl 2025 followed the classic four-day schedule with a festival tent, a festive service, and a Whit Monday conclusion. The associations of the Markt Kasendorf district voluntarily organized the festival – as they have for generations.

In 2025, the Pfingstkerwa was held as usual in the Welschenkahl district. The village associations – the fire department, marksmen, and parish community – jointly organized the preparations and catering. The festival tent filled up on the festival evening with residents of Welschenkahl, Kasendorf, and guests from the Kulmbach and neighboring Bayreuth districts.

Such small Pentecost Kerwen are the backbone of the Upper Franconian festival calendar – they are neither spectacular nor touristically staged, but they hold the village community together and preserve a custom that shapes the region as a whole.
