Overview

The Whitsun Spectacle 2025 once again established Schloss Broich as the most important medieval festival in the western Ruhr area. Knight tournaments, medieval market, musical acts, and jugglers transformed the historic castle grounds into a vibrant medieval experience world for three days. Family-friendly format with well-attended show blocks.

The 2025 edition confirmed the success of the concept: impressive knight tournaments as the main attraction, a medieval market with curated merchants, musical acts in the tradition of medieval music, and a family-friendly pricing model. The historic Schloss Broich grounds offer an authenticity that no cardboard cutout medieval market can achieve.
