Over 100 Years of Bürgerkompanie
The Bürgerkompanie Erichshagen-Wölpe e.V. was founded in 1920 and has been an integral part of the history of the two districts ever since. Erichshagen and Wölpe now belong to the city of Nienburg/Weser, but they have preserved their independent club culture. The Pfingst-Schützenfest is the highlight of the club's year and, at the same time, the largest Schützenfest within the city limits of Nienburg.
Pentecost as a Traditional Date
Unlike many Schützenfeste that take place on changing summer weekends, the Erichshagen-Wölpe festival is firmly linked to the Pentecost weekend – Saturday, Sunday, and Whit Monday. This anchoring in the church calendar has given the festival a special role in shaping the region's identity and makes it a meeting point of supra-regional importance.
"Zu den Hülsen" Event Grounds
The large "Zu den Hülsen" event grounds offer space for a large festival tent, several shooting ranges, amusement rides, food stalls, and parking for arriving clubs. The size of the grounds allows for the typical large parades with over a thousand participants in uniform and traditional costume.
Program Highlights
The regular program includes the Children's Afternoon with a children's king shooting competition, the Seniors' Afternoon with coffee and cake, the ceremonial Zapfenstreich on Saturday evening, the King's Shooting Competition, the grand Parade on Whit Sunday through the districts, and the King's Ball on Whit Monday with a live band in the festival tent. Friendly marksmen's clubs from the entire Nienburg/Weser, Schaumburg, Hoya, and Diepholz districts are involved.

- Saturday, May 23: Opening of the festival tent, King's shooting competition for club members, Children's Afternoon with children's king shooting competition, carousel, and games, Seniors' Afternoon with coffee and cake, in the evening the ceremonial Zapfenstreich on the festival grounds and a dance evening in the festival tent
- Sunday, May 24: Festive church service, followed by the grand parade through Erichshagen-Wölpe with over a thousand participants in uniform and traditional costume, friendly clubs, marching bands, and music groups, morning pint and lunch in the festival tent, afternoon parade march and reception of dignitaries
- Monday, May 25: King's Ball with a live band in the festival tent, proclamation of the new royal court, awards for deserving members, and a relaxed conclusion
