Prümer Pferdemarkt (Spring)

The Prümer Pferdemarkt (Spring) is one of the most traditional equestrian and market events in the Eifel region. The organizer is the Reitverein Prümer Land e.V., which has been organizing the market annually since 1990 – now even twice a year (spring and autumn). The venue is the Mehrzweckhalle and the exhibition grounds in Prüm.

Horses of All Breeds

The focus is on the approximately 200 horses presented and traded at the market. All horse breeds are represented – from riding horses to draft horses and ponies, from the Spanish Andalusian tradition to German warmbloods and cold-blooded breeds. Buyers, sellers, breeders, and interested parties from the entire region meet here.

Riding Program 10 AM to 3 PM

From 10 AM to 3 PM, there is a continuous riding program: demonstrations of individual horse breeds, dressage, show jumping, training insights, and presentations. This makes the horse market an attractive day for spectators, even those without purchase interest.

Reitverein Prümer Land e.V.

The Reitverein Prümer Land e.V. is the driving force behind the horse market. Since 1990, it has organized the event with great volunteer commitment, thus contributing significantly to the preservation of equestrian culture in the Eifel. With around 5,000 visitors, the market has become an important regional event.
