Six Days of Folk Market
The market extends over six days — from Thursday to the following Tuesday — and combines several elements: folk market with fairground rides (carousels, shooting galleries, candy stalls), wine festival with local winemakers serving wine, a festival tent with a daily changing live program, dance evenings, morning pint gatherings, and family offers.
Tradition of “Marktfraa un' Winzerborsch”
A special feature of the Pfeddersheimer Markt is the tradition of the “Marktfraa un' Winzerborsch” — Market Woman and Winegrower's Lad. These two symbolic figures are newly enthroned each year and represent the festival to guests, during the parade, and at numerous official occasions. The tradition combines the wine and folk festival tradition into its own festival culture, developed in Pfeddersheim.

The festival is supported by the registered association “Pedderschmer Markt e.V.”, which brings together clubs, winemakers, restaurateurs, and committed citizens of Pfeddersheim. The association organizes the program, coordinates showmen and security, maintains the traditions, and ensures the annual publication of the program booklet on pfeddersheimer-markt.de.
