Ludwigshafen's largest and most traditional Volksfest in Ebertpark with Beer Village, Wine Lounge, and new rides
The Pfalzfest in Ebertpark is Ludwigshafen's largest and most traditional Volksfest in terms of visitor numbers and duration. With a ten-day run and a wide mix of rides, Beer Village, Wine Lounge, food stalls, and stage program, it attracts guests from the entire Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.
Friedrich-Ebert-Park – Ebertpark for short – in the Friesenheim district is one of Ludwigshafen's largest urban green spaces. During the festival days, it provides the necessary space for a large Volksfest with rides, marquees, stages, and promenade areas. The park-like setting gives the Pfalzfest a unique atmosphere, different from the intimate neighborhood Kirmes (funfairs).
Three highlights take center stage in 2026: SPLASH is a water ride that takes visitors on a splashy roller coaster experience. The Ferris wheel AIR POWER offers a view over Ebertpark, Ludwigshafen, and the Rhine towards Mannheim from a great height. NIGHT FLY is a modern high-thrill ride that impresses, especially in the evening hours, with its light effects.
The Beer Village brings together several marquees and outdoor areas with classic Volksfest beer service, pretzels, roast chicken, and hearty snacks. The Wine Lounge serves Palatinate wines – Riesling, Burgundy, Cuvées – creating a contrast to the classic Beer Village atmosphere. Many visitors enjoy both areas as complementary poles of the Pfalzfest.
Getting there by public transport is very convenient via tram line 10 (Ebertpark/Fichtestraße stop). Parking at Ebertpark is severely limited during the festival days – public transport is expressly recommended.
The festival grounds extend over large parts of Ebertpark. Rides, marquees, the Wine Lounge, and food stalls are spread across the park-like area.
The complete stage and event program for 2026 will be published by Lukom in good time. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years.
