Overview

The Pettstadt Kirchweih 2025 took place from August 16th to 20th. Tree erection on Saturday with a vintage tractor, brass band morning pint on Sunday at the Schrauderkeller, Franconian cuisine from 11:30 AM on all festival days, parade and carousel for families. Classic Franconian high-summer Kerwa around the Feast of the Assumption.

The 2025 edition followed the traditional Pettstadt Kerwa format: On Saturday afternoon, the Kerwäsburschen erected the Kirchweih tree at the Schrauderkeller with a large vintage tractor, accompanied by the Pettstadt Brass Band. On Sunday, the morning pint ('Frühschoppen') and lunch drew hundreds of guests from the entire Bamberg district.

In 2025, the typical elements also characterized the festival: Franconian cuisine at the beer cellar, live music in the afternoon, a parade with the clubs, a children's carousel, and a classic 'Auspflanzen' (taking down the tree) by the Kerwäsburschen at the end of the festival week.
