Overview

The first Pellworm Choir Music Week took place in July 2025, establishing the new format on the North Frisian island. Under the direction of KMD Matthias Hoffmann-Borggrefe, singers from all over Germany met for a week of rehearsal work, culminating in a public final concert in the New Church St. Crucis.

The premiere of the Pellworm Choir Music Week in the summer of 2025 established a new format for choral music in the North Frisia district. For seven days, participants spent time on the peninsula of Pellworm in the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site – a blend of intensive musical work and island atmosphere.

Under the direction of KMD Matthias Hoffmann-Borggrefe, the project choir worked on a challenging program that culminated in a public final concert in the New Church St. Crucis. The positive feedback from participants and the audience formed the basis for its continuation in 2026.
