The 2025 German-French Partnership Festival took place in April 2025 at the Freundschaftsplatz am Bach in Wittersheim — a cozy gathering of the Saarland and Lorraine partner communities with music, culinary delights, and joint celebrations.
As is traditional, the Wittersheim residents welcomed their French friends at the Freundschaftsplatz. Local music clubs played alternately, and citizens from both communities hosted guests with specialties from Saarland and Lorraine. A small but significant gesture of lived European neighborliness.
