Overview

The 9th edition of Parksommer Chemnitz 2025 attracted around 28,000 visitors, making it the most attended edition since the festival began in 2017. Integrated into the program of Chemnitz 2025, European Capital of Culture, concerts, poetry slams, children's programs, and yoga drew crowds to Stadthallenpark.

The 2025 Parksommer benefited from Chemnitz's status as European Capital of Culture — along with Nova Gorica (Slovenia). With around 28,000 visitors, it set a new record for the festival. Approximately 85 events over four weeks — from classical to indie, from poetry slam to family programs — confirmed the event's reputation as one of Saxony's most vibrant summer cultural destinations.

The 360-degree stage and the relaxed park concept (deck chair, picnic blanket, lawn) proved successful once again. Admission was free, as always.
