Overview

The Parkplatzfest 2025 took place at the end of June with approx. 4,000 visitors in the parking lot between the KIT dormitories at Willy-Andreas-Allee. Again live bands, student-friendly prices, free admission, and the DIY format from 30 floor stands. One of the most important student events in Karlsruhe — jointly organized by the Studierendenwerk and the dormitory residents.

2025 — Proven Format

The 2025 festival again attracted around 4,000 students and friends of Karlsruhe to Innenstadt-West. The stage was set, as in previous years, in the middle of the parking lot, surrounded by the four dormitories — the acoustics are surprisingly good, the atmosphere dense yet open.

In 2025, the mix of bands was particularly well-received: regional indie acts with local fan bases, supplemented by two national bands. The dormitories operated in DIY mode as always — each floor with its own catering concept, its own staff, its own stand branding.
