Overview

Parkleuchten 2025 took place on September 12 and 13 in Wilhelmsburger Inselpark. Light installations, live performances, and interactive programs around the KulturKapelle, powered by 95 percent solar energy. One of Hamburg's quietest and most visually striking summer festivals.

2025 Review

The 2025 edition brought together light artists from Wilhelmsburg, Hamburg, and all over Germany around the KulturKapelle. Installations, performances, and interactive workshops were spread over the two festival days. The program typically begins after sunset and runs into the late evening hours.

The Wilhelmsburg district in the Hamburg-Mitte borough, with its Inselpark, is one of the greenest locations in the Hanseatic city — Parkleuchten is the park's annual cultural season finale and a deliberate response to the question of how urban nature and contemporary art can interact.
