Overview

The 2025 edition of the OstseeMan was, as usual, the triathlon highlight of the North German summer. Around 1,500 athletes from 15 nations started at Sandwig beach in Glücksburg — long distance, middle distance, charity run, and OstseeKids spread over the first weekend of August.

OstseeMan 2025 Review

In 2025, the OstseeMan once again attracted around 1,500 athletes from 15 nations to the Flensburg Fjord. The long distance, with its legendary 3.8 km open-water swim, 180 km cycle, and marathon run, remained the flagship event, while the middle distance featured the largest number of participants.

Festival Atmosphere in Glücksburg

As every year, Sandwig beach transformed into the heart of a small sports festival. Spectators lined the course, a festival mile accompanied the athletes, and the day ended with the traditional fireworks display on the beach — an emotional conclusion for the long-distance finishers who crossed the finish line after more than ten hours of effort.

This successful formula has made the OstseeMan a must-attend event in the calendar of North German triathletes. The continuation follows on August 1–2, 2026.
