Easter program with egg hunt, crafts, and family fun from April 3rd to 6th, 2026
The Zoo Osnabrück, with its forest-adjacent enclosures and underground themed worlds, is special at Easter: Spring, blooming trees, active animals — and a specially curated Easter program for families. From Good Friday, April 3rd, to Easter Monday, April 6th, 2026, the zoo offers four days of its own program centered around the Easter festival.
The highlight of the program is the Easter egg hunt: Scattered throughout the zoo grounds, children search for painted eggs, complete small tasks, and receive an Easter package at the finish line. The route is family-friendly and passes several enclosures — animal observation and Easter hunt merge.
On Easter days, special demonstration feedings with commentary take place. The zookeepers explain how the animals react to spring — offspring, new behaviors, seasonal food.
In early April, the zoo is impressive: Spring blooms in the enclosures, budding trees, animals active after their winter rest. Many animal species give birth in spring — families can often observe young animals.
The Easter program is included in the regular zoo ticket. Family tickets and reduced rates for children, students, and the severely disabled are available. Tickets can also be purchased online at zoo-osnabrueck.de.
The 2026 edition offers four full days of Easter program at the zoo — embedded within the regular zoo operations.
The exact 2026 program will be published by Zoo Osnabrück in the spring. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
