Overview
In 2025, the Rügge Volunteer Fire Brigade again lit its traditional Easter Bonfire at the Alte Schule. As every year, residents of the small community and guests from neighboring villages met for a convivial spring evening around the large bonfire.
The 2025 edition followed the proven village format — bonfire, bratwurst, mulled wine, stick bread, shared conversation in the village center. The FFW Rügge once again demonstrated how the Easter Bonfire remains a central element of village identity in the small communities of Schleswig-Holstein. With the 2025 bonfire, the tradition was continued — and the date for 2026 (April 4) was anchored as an annual fixture in the community calendar.
