Osterfeuer Lünen 2025

With 37 registered Easter bonfires, the 2025 event reached a slight peak in recent years. The fires burned on Holy Saturday in the districts of Brambauer, Niederaden, Gahmen, Lünen-Süd, Lünen-Mitte, Wethmar, Beckinghausen, and Alstedde — supported by clubs, church communities, and local initiatives.

The main bonfire on the grounds of the Schützenverein 1925 Lünen-Süd at Sedanstraße once again formed the centerpiece of Lünen's Easter bonfire tradition. Hundreds of residents gathered in the late afternoon; shared catering and the traditional cutting of the fire marked the atmosphere — a tradition that remains alive in Lünen because the decentralized club landscape supports it.
