Osterfeuer Büsumer Deichhausen

The 2025 edition followed the established format. As always, the Easter bonfire was one of the first events of the summer season and attracted locals, regular guests, and holidaymakers to the fire site at the end of Breksweg. Free entry, catering, and musical accompaniment on-site.

The tradition of the Easter bonfire is deeply rooted in the North Sea mudflats villages of Schleswig-Holstein — it combines the Christian Easter celebration with older, pre-Christian spring customs. In Büsumer Deichhausen, the tourism association organizes the event as a communal start-of-spring festival, ushering in the summer season with its weekly concerts and activities.
