Organ Music Concert Series in Basedow

The 2025 season of the Organ Music concert series in Basedow followed the usual format: Sunday concerts starting at 5:00 PM, each lasting about an hour, on the Baroque organ by Samuel Gercke (1680-1683). The series once again brought international organists to the village church on Lake Kummerow — as in previous years, performers from Germany, Poland, and the Baltic states were invited, with a focus on the North German organ tradition. The concerts once again demonstrated why the instrument is considered one of the sixty most important organs in Europe and confirmed Basedow's significance as a venue for high-quality church music in the Mecklenburg Lake District.
