In 2025, the Spandau School-Environment Centre also participated in Open Gardens Berlin-Brandenburg. Families and neighbours discovered the teaching garden on Borkzeile, learned about wild bees, and browsed the sustainability flea market.
In 2025, the team from the Spandau School-Environment Centre led tours through all garden areas and offered workshops on beekeeping, composting, and wild plants. The flea market was held for the first time as a purely neighbourhood event – without traditional rummage sale items, focusing on gardening and the circular economy.
