Overview

The HUK-Coburg Open-Air-Sommer 2025, as usual, brought several international top acts to Coburg's Schlossplatz. Organizer VS Bamberg / Semmel Concerts; naming sponsor HUK-Coburg. With concerts between June and July 2025, the series established itself as an important open-air stop in Upper Franconia.

In 2025, the HUK-Coburg Open-Air-Sommer again ran as a multi-part concert series during the high summer season — a typical format curated successfully for years by organizer VS Bamberg. The concerts took place at the Schlossplatz in front of the baroque backdrop of Coburg's city center; the selection of artists ranged from rock and pop to the singer-songwriter scene.

The series enjoys a firm place in the Franconian concert calendar — HUK-Coburg, as a regional insurance group and one of the region's largest employers, has been a main sponsor for years. With Deep Purple in 2026, the open-air summer continues the tradition of major rock headliners.
