In 2025, Old but Gold again took place as a major Ü30 Hip Hop open-air event at Zitadelle Spandau, integrated into the Citadel Music Festival. Featuring live acts from the 90s and early 2000s hip hop and R&B scene on the Main Floor, with parallel Old-School R&B and Dancehall/Afrobeats floors, the festival confirmed its reputation as Germany's largest Ü30 Hip Hop event. The organizer Old but Gold established Zitadelle Spandau as the permanent home for the format — and laid the groundwork for the 2026 edition on July 11 with Busta Rhymes, KRS-One, Onyx, and Ginuwine.
The Old but Gold Festival 2025 took place in July 2025 at Zitadelle Spandau. Over 8 hours of live programming featuring hip hop and R&B classics from the 90s and early 2000s, complemented by parallel DJ floors (Old-School R&B and Dancehall/Afrobeats). The Ü30 concept with ID check and approximately 3,500 attendees continued the series as a fixture of the Berlin hip hop season, directly leading into the 2026 edition on July 11 with an international US lineup.
